China Demonstration Base

Jingfan Middle School is located in the ancestral residence of Fan Zhongyan, a famous Prime Minister of the Northern Song Dynasty. In 1049, Fan Zhongyan donated his ancestral residence to establish Yizhuang and set up Yixue, which opened the history of Yizhuang and Yixue in Chinese history. In 1346, Fan's descendants founded Wenzheng Academy, which lasted more than 600 years until the new school was opened. In 1938, Tang Yan founded a new school named "Private Chongfan Middle School" by means of "Fanyizhuang", which opened a new style of learning in Yizhuang. In 1945, Fan Junbo, Fan Yanqiao and Fan Yakan, descendants of Fan's family, took back the right to run Yizhuang School and founded "Private Jingfan Middle School". In 1956, the government took over running the school. In 1989, on the 1000th anniversary of Fan Zhongyan's birth, the school was renamed Jingfan Middle School in Suzhou to express its admiration for Fan Zhongyan.

Jingfan Middle School in Suzhou, which has a deep origin with Fan Zhongyan, a famous person in the Northern Song Dynasty, has always attached great importance to the cultivation of Chinese cultural heritage, quality education and innovative talents with high comprehensive quality who can inherit Chinese classical culture. Shen Zongjian, the principal of Jingfan Middle School, believes that the idea of family inheritance of elite education is very consistent with the educational concept that Jingfan has been practicing. Jingfan Middle School in Suzhou, ranked first in Suzhou Middle School for four consecutive years, is the first demonstration base recognized by Beijing Longjiaoxing Family as the base of elite education and culture.
